God has plans - not problems - for our lives.

"Before she died in the concentration camp in Ravensbrück, my sister Betsie said to me, “Corrie, your whole life has been a training for the work you are doing here in prison - and for the work you will do afterward.”

I have read the Hiding Place, and I noticed that Betsy was so strong in faith. I like to tell my children about her, and Corrie, and I always use this verse in Matthew 5:14-16to illustrate how we can shine through trials and hardships. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. {15} "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. {16} "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. It is never easy, but all of us will face adversity, so we must prepare for how we will RESPOND!
