Sub-Cortical Time Portal
Up in the cold, Dark Attic of my Parent's home, in a dusty, shabby box, wrapped in browned, torn tissue paper, these two precious Skaters, once found, flooded my thoughts with long ago skating parties on a small mirror.

As children, my brother and sister and I played for hours with a whole village houses, snow skiers, sleds with people, and these skaters. I could not find the rest, only these two. I cannot express the feeling I experience when I look at them.
Time Portal, my son articulates. Yes, that's it! Time Portal of the Mind!

Help me to Forgive...
“Even as the angry vengeful thoughts boiled through me, I saw the sin of them. Jesus Christ had died for this man; was I going to ask for more? Lord Jesus, I prayed, forgive me and help me to forgive him....Jesus, I cannot forgive him. Give me your forgiveness....And so I discovered that it is not on our forgiveness any more than on our goodness that the world's healing hinges, but on His. When He tells us to love our enemies, He gives along with the command, the love itself.”

Impressionist Art...
This week we wandered into the Impressionist Section on our Library Outing.

When home, the pastels were flying and B created his own water lily effect.
When Papa Mike arrived, we had a nice fish fry dinner and talked about Monet and his life. I love our little summer home education program!

P.S. The Hushpuppies were divine... I cheated and used Jiffy Muffin Mix instead of making them from scratch. They were MUCH lighter and had a whole different texture and taste!

We checked out books about The Impressionists. Here is the Monet Influence in Watercolors...

My Southern Husband misses his fish Fry and Hushpuppies!
