Sitting at a Red light today after school, when suddenly "B" explains the fall of man--- "You know, Mommy, This is half of the lie: 'Your eyes will be opened... and you will be like God...' Mommy... Your eyes will be opened... but not like God." Wow. The car behind me gave a gentle beep as I sat staring at him in the rear view mirror, losing all sense of time and space for a split second, wondering what other deep theological truths are locked up in that little head of his, waiting for just the right moment to pop out! Thanks be to GOD!

Valentine's Eve: Creating Gifts
There has been a lot of tracing, cutting, stitching, glueing, glittering
and the like going on around here.
Nothing makes me happier than to hear a little voice
asking me what can we make for Daddy.

Kimba embroidered pillows and gave them to his cousins.
For a couple of weeks the floor was sporting little emboidery threads of all colors. The joy of having a creative son...

And there has been a plethora of activity in other crafting areas, too!
These are the Valentine's Day Cards, ready to go.
Each year my Tasha Tudor book comes out... I was busy making my own sweet valentines, and Kimba jumped on the bandwagon to get his own done, too.
Kimba's valentines are for all our friends in the local nursing home, whom we regularly visit. You would have thought we gave these darling people a chest of gold, they are so thrilled!
We also buy them a pink carnation with a bit of baby's breath, and give it with the handmade card! Memories are made of this!

A Precious Girl

Last week I had the wonderful priviledge of becoming friends with one of the LORD's dearest children on Earth.

We read some of my favorite books together, did Skippy Jon Jones Puzzles, and

Made many marvelous sculptures with the Play Doh Factory

I Praise God for this" Fearfully and Wonderfully Made" Friend!
May we have many more times together.
I love you, "R" and "H"

Enlightened Eyes for 2013
December 31st New Year’s Eve
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the Faith.” (II Timothy 4:7)
My heart overflows this last day of 2012. God has truly enriched my life during this past year. HE has brought me immeasurable JOY as I have attempted to live my life for Him. The Gifts my LORD has given me this year include enlightenment, time, strength, grace, a husband who loves me, and a one-in-a- million son to enjoy, pour myself into, and believe in! I am so glad that my God walks by my side, marking the road for me as I travel.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of HIS calling, what are the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of HIS power toward us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19).

One More Word before Old St. Nick Arrives!
♥ We have seen Christ's goodness in our lives.
How sweet it is to encourage one another
and pray for one another.
His mercies are new every morning.
Great is His faithfulness!
He is good to those who hope in Him:0)
"He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord."-- Psalm 112:7
