Welcome! 

 

Blue Willow Cottage is the place our family enjoys living, creating, and nesting.   We have recently moved 1,200 miles across the country to live near our family in Pennsylvania, after being away for 18 years.

 

We count our blessings for time with our precious loved ones,  and are looking forward to spending many special times with them in our cottage. 

This blog is a record of musings, happenings, and projects that may hopefully inspire authentic living at its finest. 

 

 

Here is an introduction to the members of our family:

Mike is an outdoorsman and lover of thrift, refurbishing, and hunting. 

 

 Dawn  is a nurse, wife, homemaker, and mother.

 Our 11 year son, is nicknamed "Kimba"
after his favorite 80's Hero "Kimba, the White Lion"
 (from the Japanese Cartoon, "KIMBA")  

 

As a family, we adore  camping,  Family Game Nights, Jesus, good food, flea markets, cottage living, and surrounding ourselves with beautiful things. Our Home is lovingly filled with cherished items, decorated in white and light pastel colors, and with the beauty of imperfection.
